Are You Ready?

This week is Emergency Preparedness Week in Canada. The official government site offers great information and advice on how to prepare your home and family for emergencies. We also wanted to take this time to thank all the emergency services, utility crews and contractors that helped respond to and manage the damages caused by the massive ice and snowstorms that caused over 1.3M people to lose hydro power, close roads, businesses and schools in Central Ontario.

Many people, especially in southern Ontario and Quebec often think that natural disasters are forest fires, flooding and hurricanes and don’t really happen in their area. But clearly, emergencies can happen anywhere at anytime and we all need to be ready. Whether in the home, work, community or region people need to be ready.

In support of Emergency Preparedness week we are pleased to launch our YouTube Channel - Get Ready Global TV.

On the channel we have many short videos that demonstrate and describe how to perform first aid skills, so you can look after your family, friends and community members.
